ROCKVILLE, Md. – Full implementation of Montgomery County’s “Wholesome Meals for Youngsters” laws will go into impact September 15.

The laws that was handed in 2022 requires meals and restaurant amenities within the County that provide kids’s meals to incorporate wholesome meals and beverage choices.

The beverage portion of the invoice went into impact on March 15, 2023. The meals portion of the invoice will go into impact Friday.

The County says the invoice doesn’t prohibit the selection of the shopper, and that meals service amenities might proceed to promote meals not thought-about a wholesome kids’s meal. They’ll additionally proceed promoting meals or drinks which aren’t thought-about wholesome choices.
